Alexander Smirnov is a Head of Computer Aided Integrated Systems Laboratory, St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPC RAS). He received his Ph.D from St. Petersburg State University of Electrical Engineering (1984) and Dr.habil. from St. Petersburg Institute for Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1994), and became a Full Professor in 1998. Also, he is a Professor and a Head of International Laboratory on Intelligent Technologies for Socio-Cyberphysical Systems, ITMO University, St. Petersburg (from 2014), and a Founder of Joint Master Program on Bu

Dr. Hervé PANETTO is a Professor of Enterprise Information Systems at University of Lorraine. He teaches Information Systems modelling and development at TELECOM Nancy and conducts research at CRAN (Research Centre for Automatic Control), Joint Research Unit with CNRS where he is managing a research project on the use of neuro-symbolic AI for formalising models related to the interoperability of cyber-physical-social systems. He is a member of the Academia Europaea, Member of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences (IEAS), Member of the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (NAAI), member of the Euro
pean Academy of Engineering (EAE) and of the Austrian Academy of Engineering (AAE), a Fellow of the AAIS (Academy of Artificial Intelligence Sciences) and Fellow of the AIIA (Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance). He is IEEE senior member.
He received his PhD in production engineering in 1991. He is working Systems interoperability, with applications in human-systems collaboration. He studying Hybrid Artificial Intelligence techniques to the cognitive interoperability of Cyber-Physical Systems and Human-centric systems, including cognitive systems and cognitive digital twins. He was visiting Professor in 2013-2015 in the frame of a Science Without Borders PVE project with PUC Parana, Brazil and visiting Professor in 2016 at the UTFPR, Curitiba, Brazil. He is editor or guest editor of books and special issues of international journals. He is author or co-author of more than 300 papers in the field of Automation Engineering, Enterprise Modelling and applied AI for Industry 5.0. From 2020 to 2023, he was Chairman of the IFAC French National Member Organization (NMO). After being Chair of the IFAC Technical Committee 5.3 “Enterprise Integration and Networking” from 2008 to 2014 and Chair of the IFAC Coordinating Committee 5 on “Cyber-Physicial Manufacturing Enterprises” from 2014 to 2020, he is now Vice-Chair of the IFAC Technical Committee 9.3 “Control for Smart Cities”. He received the IFAC France Award 2013, the INCOSE 2015 Outstanding Service Award and the IFAC 2017 Outstanding Service Award. In 2025, he received the NAAI Distinguished Artificial Intelligence Award. He is Editor-In-Chief of the Annual Reviews in Control, Member of the board of Computers In Industry, the International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing, the International Journal on Universal Computer Science, the scientific journal Facta Universitatis, series Mechanical Engineering, member of the Advisory Board of the Digital Twin International Journal (DTIJ), and a former Regional Associate Editor Europe of the international Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing (JIM), Springer. He is an Associate Editor of the Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) journal, Taylor & Francis, the Journal of Industrial Information Integration (JIII), Elsevier, the Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence (EAAI), Elsevier, and the Journal SN Computer Science (SNCS), Springer Nature. Kurosh Madani is graduated in fundamental physics in June 1985 from PARIS 7 – Jussieu University. He received his MSc. in Microelectronics and chip architecture from University PARIS 11 (PARIS-SUD), Orsay, France, in September 1986. Received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from University PARIS 11 (PARIS-SUD), Orsay, France, in February 1990. In 1995, he received the DHDR Doctor Hab. degree (senior research doctorate degree) from University PARIS 12 – Val de Marne. He works as Chair Professor in Electrical Engineering of Senart-FB Institute of Technology of University PARIS-EST Creteil (
UPEC), France. Co-creator of Images, Signals and Intelligent Systems Laboratory (LISSI / EA 3956) of UPEC in 2005, head of Intelligent Machines & Systems” research team of LISSI, he is also Vice-director of this laboratory. He has worked on both digital and analog implementation of massively parallel processors arrays for image processing, electro-optical random number generation, and both analog and digital Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) implementation. His current research interests include: - Complex structures and behaviors modeling, - self-organizing, modular and hybrid neural based information processing systems and their real-world and industrial applications, - humanoid and collective robotics - intelligent fault detection and diagnosis systems.
