Workshops

The purpose of workshops is to provide a more interactive and focused platform for presenting and discussing new and emerging ideas. The format of paper presentations may include oral presentations, poster presentations, keynote lectures and panels. Depending on the number of presentations, workshops can be scheduled for 1 day or 2 days. All accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book, under an ISBN reference, and on digital support. All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library. SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef and every paper is given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). The proceedings are submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, Google Scholar, DBLP, Semantic Scholar, EI and Web of Science / Conference Proceedings Citation Index.

Scope

In the context of the Factory of the Future, enterprises have to become S^3 (Enterprises: Smart, Sensing and Sustainable) Enterprises. These system-of-systems must adapt to be sustainable not only along the environmental but also economic dimensions. The sensed information must be support smart decisions. In this context, enterprise integration, interoperability and networking are major disciplines that study how enterprise system-of-systems collaborate, communicate, and coordinate in the most effective way. Enterprise Integration aims at improving synergy within the enterprise so that sustainability is achieved in a more productive and efficient way. Enterprise Interoperability and Networking aim at more adaptability within and across multiple collaborating enterprises.

Scope

In the context of the Industry of the Future, the concepts of Industry 4.0 and Intelligent Manufacturing occupy an ever increasing rank of endeavors involving as well academic as industrial communities. Such challenging production and manufacturing units involve connected, knowledge based and smart systems making emerge new needs, novel slants of view and innovative concepts relating as well the production structures as production devices. In fact, they have not only be flexible regarding market and economic requirements but also have to sustain environmental qualifications.
The main objective of ETCIIM is to provide a privileged meeting-space for informing, presenting and exchanging on concrete trends and developments in Industry 4.0 and Intelligent Manufacturing as well as related fields.
